Six Shooter Bret
Bret grew up in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee were he formed a bond with the great outdoors, backpacking and fishing and learned to talk funny. Bret moved to sunny Florida and found the Atlantic Ocean. Upon graduation, Bret entered the US Coast Guard and was shipped to the west coast where he felt at home with the mountains, ocean and desert.
Bret met and married an Arizona native and moved to Arizona after completion of his tour of service with the Coast Guard in 1983. Even though Bret was involved in the high tech industry his draw to the outdoors never withered. He began exploring the surrounding territory through off-roading, camping, and geological treks. His knowledge of the flora and fauna, wildlife and vegetation, history and lore of this area has continued to grow as has his vast library of the Southwest and the Superstition Mountains.
Bret and his wife Jan have two boy's and love to explore the Arizona landscape today and Bret still talks a little "funny" too!
