Apache Woman, 92, To Speak At Superstition Mtn. Museum

Eva Tulene Watt relives her experiences along the Apache Trail

Eva Tulene Watt, an amazing 92-year old White Mountain Apache woman, will talk about her life and experiences at the Superstition Mountain Museum on Thursday, January 19 at 2 pm Eva is probably the last living Apache Indian to have recollection of the building of the Apache Trail, which her family helped construct. Governor Janet Napolitano met Eva when she commemorated the Centennial Anniversary of the Apache Trail in October, 2005.

Eva's Presentation will include personal remembrances of her childhood and unique insights into the culture of the Apache people. She was born and raised in the family wickiup on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.

There is no charge for admission to "history of the Apache Trail" lecture at the museum amphitheater. Jodi Akers, of Apache Trail Tours will moderate the interview with Eva. The Superstition Mountain Museum is located at 4087 N. Apache Trail, Apache Junction, 480-983-4888.
